If you've met my brother before me by chance then you already know about my childhood history. I grew up with my younger brother and dad from since I was little. Mom passed away from illness when we were really young so neither me nor my brother Rin remember her alot. Even though we were born and went to school in Tokyo we were mostly living in the more forest/country areas of the land. Dad was a smith and would make tools of any kind and during the summer months took us out hunting and camping alot. He taught us how to survive off the land as if he knew something was to come... I was better with a bow while Rin was better with a blade. Then the virus came. I was 12 and Rin was 11 so we were lucky to survive because of our age. Sadly we lost our father that day. We were at one of dad's cabins out in the forest several cities away from our home city at the time so when the announcement made by the vampires went off we realized how lucky we really were to not be in a heavy populated area at the time. As the years went on we stayed mostly in the forest training ourselves with the bow and blade our father gave us on all our hunting/camping summer trips and survived. It's not like we could do anything else there was no way we could defend ourselves from vampire if we left back then.

Then after all these years we decided to travel back to Tokyo. We knew sooner or later we would have to go back. It took months of traveling on foot but we finally managed to get back to the outer edge of the city. It was raining at the time we reached the small cliffside just above a small tree covered area and a creek. We were just about to turn around and look for a safer way down when Rin misstep and his footing slipped on the edge. I tried to grab him but only ended up slipping to and we both fell. We lost our grip on eachother on the way down and got seperated and I had blacked out for a while. When I woke up the rain had stopped and already night. I had found myself against a tree not far from the creek with several scratches and a sprained wrist but nothing majorly serious so I must've been lucky somehow. But I couldn't see Rin anywhere nearby when I looked around the area. It was getting really late and I knew that my best bet was looking for him in the city if he had already left to go there thinking the same thing about me. So I left and heading into the city. It's hard to say if anything changed or not when you haven't been around for several years so I figured some things atleast did change. I mostly wondered around looking for my brother until I literally walked into a member of the vampire annihilation forces we had heard about while traveling back to Tokyo. At first as always because of my watermelon pink eyes look red unless you look closely they thought I was a vampire like several others we met as we traveled and thus the first thing that did was either run or attack; in this case it was attack and after barely managing to avoid the attacks they were ordered to stop when a higher rank officer realized how I didn't have the speed and reflexs that one would expect of a vampire. I happy collapsed onto the ground as I was already tired from walking all day and falling down a cliff.

I ended up being taken by them to get treatment for my sprained wrist and scratches. After I had explained everything and how I was seperated from Rin they told me that no one on their forces there saw anyone similar looking to myself. I'm now stuck with no idea where Rin ended up and alone...I don't know where to go now...Then I realized there was a chance that Rin ran into a vampire and might've been taken. It was a long shot idea really but there was no way I was going to think that my brother was dead instead. I made up my mind...I asked the officer if there was a chance I could apply and join them.
